حسب المادة 11 من قوانين الفيفا:
تعتبر الحالة تسلل في حال كان أحد أعضاء جسم اللاعب "التي يسمح له بلمس الكرة بها أثناء اللعب" أقرب لخط المرمى من آخر مدافع أو من الكرة لحظة التمرير، يظهر في اللقطة بعد التدقيق أن الجزء من أعضاء كاسميرو التي تتجاوز الخط مع آخر مدافع (النظر لنهاية الخط من جهة المرمى) هي يد كاسميرو (الذراع تحديداً وليس الكتف أو الركبة) هي التي كانت أقرب لخط المرمى لحظة التمرير، واليد (الذراع) حسب القانون هي عضو لا يسمح له بلمس الكرة أثناء اللعب، فعليه التسلل غير موجود والهدف صحيح والله أعلم .. نص القانون لمن أحب الإطلاع عليه:

The law states that a player is in an offside position, when he/she receives the ball which is played by a teammate, actively involved in the play.
